Journal of Technical Education Science (JTE) is a multidisciplinary scholarly journal published by Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Engineering (HCM-UTE). The Journal was established under Press License No. 158/GP-BVHTT, issued by the Ministry of Culture and Information on 1 December 2005, and currently operates under the latest Press License No. 09/GP-BVHTTDL, issued by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on 10 April 2025.

JTE is published quarterly, with four publication cycles per year. Each publication cycle consists of two issues: one in English and one in Vietnamese. Since 2021, all published articles have been assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure persistent identification and accessibility.

The following 05 majors of JTE have been recognized by the State Council for Professorship of Vietnam with respective scores as shown below.
 
1. Council for Professor Title for Mechanical Engineering and Dynamics (0.75 points);
2. Council for Professor Title for Mechanics (0.5 points);
3. Council for Professor Title for Education (0.75 points);
4. Council for Professor Title for Electricity – Electronics – Automation (0.75 points);
5. Council for Professor title for Chemistry and Food Technology (0.5 points)

Aims and scope

The Journal of Technical Education Science (JTE) is dedicated to disseminating high-quality scientific research with academic and practical significance to both the national and international scholarly communities.

The Journal welcomes original manuscripts that have neither been previously published nor are under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts may report theoretical, experimental, or applied research in the following areas:

  • Engineering and Technology
  • Basic Sciences;
  • Economics and Management;
  • Technical Education and Educational Sciences.

All submissions undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure scientific quality, originality, and relevance.

Publication Frequency

JTE is published quarterly in both print and online formats, with regular issues in February, May, August, and November each year. Each quarterly publication consists of:

  • One (01) English-language issue
  • One (01) Vietnamese-language issue

In addition to its regular issues, the Journal may publish special issues, depending on the number and quality of accepted manuscripts.
Accepted manuscripts are professionally copyedited, assigned a DOI, and published online as Online First articles before being included in a regular or special issue, enabling the timely dissemination of research findings to the scholarly community

Publication Fees  

The Journal does not charge an Article Submission Charge (ASC). An Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication.

The APC is as follows:

  • VND 1,000,000 (USD 40) per article for disciplines included in the official list of academic disciplines recognized by the State Professorship Council of Vietnam.
  • VND 500,000 (USD 20) per article for all other disciplines.
