Peer and double-blind Review Process

[1] Any manuscript within the scope of the Journal and the author guidelines will be assigned to one section editor;

[2] All articles in the JTE have undergone editorial screening and anonymous double-blind peer review by at least one independent external expert in the field who is not part of the JTE's Editorial Board. The section editor ultimately makes an editorial decision, which is subject to endorsement by the Editor-in-Chief;

[3] The JTE’s Editorial Office aims to confirm a first decision on submitted manuscripts within an average of two months. We meticulously review and assess each submission, striving to provide prompt responses. Recognizing the potential delays in the paper publication process, we collaborate closely with authors and reviewers to expedite it. Below, you'll find the typical durations for each step in our process:

- Initial decision to review: 3–5 working days after submission

- Timeframe allocated for reviewers in the first round: 2 weeks in under review (extension if needed)

- Time allocated for the author to complete revision 1, 2, : 1 month/revision in under review (extension if needed)

- Timeframe allocated for reviewers in the next rounds: 1 week/round under review (extension if needed)

- Anticipated timeframe for suggested revisions: 2 weeks + 1 week + …(with flexibility if needed)

- Average acceptance time for our journal publication: about 2 months after submission (extension if more rounds or delayed reviewer time is needed)

-  Time to online publication: 2–8 weeks after acceptance as per the publication schedule (see Publication Frequency below).
