In the context of the aviation industry’s increasing emphasis on safety and service quality, flight attendant safety training plays a pivotal role in ensuring efficient and safe operations. This study focuses on applying the ADDIE instructional design model (Analysis - Design - Development - Implementation - Evaluation) to the flight safety training program for cabin crew at Vietnam Airlines. The objective is to establish a systematic, scientific, and flexible training process that aligns with the practical requirements of a modern airline. The research conducts a training needs analysis, evaluates the current program, and redesigns content, methods, and learning materials using a competency-based approach. The results indicate that the application of the ADDIE model significantly improves learning effectiveness, enhances situational handling capabilities, and strengthens safety awareness among cabin crew in real-world environments. Furthermore, this model contributes to standardizing and elevating the quality of Vietnam Airlines’ internal training, providing a foundation for expanded application in other training programs within the civil aviation industry.
