Abstract

Society 5.0 has set the requirements for the Education 5.0 era with the application of advanced technologies and active learning methods to promote personalized, learner-centered learning. Using the qualitative approach and theoretical research methods, analysis, synthesis and generalization to build a theoretical framework on didactics in Education 5.0 at the higher education level, the article identifies the concept and characteristics of Education 5.0, analyzes the changes of didactics in the Education 5.0 era at the higher education level. Accordingly, the training objectives (learning outcomes) do not stop at training professional competence but also aims at digital capacity, critical thinking, creativity, adaptability, social-emotional capacity; Training content needs to be integrated digital skills and modules on systematics thinking, critical and creative thinking and soft skills; Teaching and learning methods need to change towards gamification, project-based learning, action-oriented learning, experiential learning... through online (synchronous/ asynchronous) teaching, direct teaching with the application of advanced technology (artificial intelligence - AI, virtual reality - VR, augmented reality – AR, blockchain...), blended learning, open society curriculum; assessment content and tools are diverse corresponding to training objectives, with the application of digital tools.

Phuong Chi Diep, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, Vietnam

Dr. Phuong Chi Diep received the B. Eng. from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, Vietnam and the M.Sc degree. in TVET at Otto-von-Guericke University, Germany; She earned the PhD in Education at Technical University Dresden, Germany. Now, she is a lecturer at Institute of Technical Education, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE). She is currently pursuing the pedagogical career with training the pedagogiccal knowledge and skills for pedagogical students at the HCMMUTE as well as for in-service teachers at vocational schools, colleges, universities etc. She also does research in education with publications in the field of didactics, vocational teacher education, Online teaching etc. She is especially interested in action-oriented teaching and TVET (Technical Vocation Education and Training).
