Abstract

Researching and calculating transient in power system are very important to improve its reliability and stability. Today, the breaker model used in Matlab is linear models; the saturable transformer model does not include the effects of other nonlinear components so the simulation results are not accurate especially in high frequency simulation. In this thesis, the advanced model of transformer and circuit breaker are presented to serve for simulations and calculations power system transient.
