Abstract

In this paper, the authors perform research on the application of robot models in STEM educational programs (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) for high school students. The research was conducted on educational institutions in Ho Chi Minh City and the surveys were conducted on the feedback of different groups of students. In this study, initial general knowledge surveys about STEM using questionnaires were sent to students through online tools. Training and practice sessions on Robot models are carried out to groups of students. Students are guided from basic robotics, mechanical construction, electrical connection, programming of basic functions and performing complex tasks. During practice students are encouraged to participate in small competitions between groups. A questionnaire survey via online tools and direct questions are conducted after the training and practice. The results of this study show that the application of Robot models in teaching has helped students to become familiar with topics or subjects related to STEM. The use of Robot on training course also has a positive influence on students' learning attitude with STEM subjects and also has the ability to change career orientation in students.
